Welcome to Honey+Harvey! Here are some answers to questions we get asked a lot. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to get in touch.

General

Do You Take Table Bookings?

We only take bookings for Bottomless Brunch, Sunday Roasts at Ipswich and Private Hire.

For anything else, we operate on a walk-in basis. Just come along, grab a table, and order at the counter when you’re ready.

Do you accept cash?

We’re a cashless cafe and accept card and contactless payments only. Businesses in the UK are not legally required to accept cash, and this allows us to provide a quicker and more secure service.

All Honey + Harvey sites accept Amex card payment. 

Do you offer takeaway?

Yes, everything on our menu is available to take away, including hot drinks, food, and cakes (yes, even our Full English!).

You can also find us on Deliveroo (Colchester and Ipswich) and Just Eat (all sites), so you can enjoy Honey + Harvey from the comfort of home.

Are you child-friendly?

Absolutely. We have high chairs, a dedicated kids’ menu, and colouring sheets to keep your little ones happy. Baby changing facilities are also available at each site.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes! We’re a dog-friendly cafe and welcome well-behaved four-legged friends at all of our locations. We have water bowls available and dog treats to purchase.

Are your cafes wheelchair accessible?

We aim to make our cafes as accessible as possible. However, as some of our buildings are older, there are structural limitations in certain locations.

Our Melton cafe offers easy access and a spacious, comfortable layout for wheelchair users, along with a designated disabled parking bay.

If you’d like specific information about a particular site, please feel free to contact us before your visit.

Do you have ramps available?

Yes, portable ramps are available at our Ipswich and Woodbridge cafes.

Please note that Woodbridge is located in an older building with a narrower entrance, so accessibility is more limited there. Our team is always happy to assist where possible.

Do you offer vegan/gluten-free options?

We have a range of vegan and gluten-free options. Please ask our team if you have any dietary requirements or allergies.

Do you cater for allergies?

We always do our best to accommodate allergies and dietary requirements. Gluten-free bread and alternative milk options are available, and we’re happy to advise on suitable menu choices.

Please note that our kitchen handles all major allergens, so we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. We strongly recommend speaking to a member of our management team before ordering.

Can I work from the cafe?

During the weekdays, you’re welcome to bring your laptop. We have plug sockets and WiFi available. We just ask that you support the cafe while you’re here.

Do you allow laptops at weekends?

We operate a Laptop-Free Weekend Policy. Weekends are for catching up, not clocking in, and we get busy. This helps ensure tables are available for groups and catch-ups. 

Do you have WiFi?

Yes, free WiFi is available for all customers. 

Where can I park?

We don’t have dedicated on-site parking at our cafes. Parking options vary by location, so we recommend checking local options ahead of time of your visit if you’re unfamiliar with the area.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes, gift cards are available to purchase via our online store or at any of our cafes. Just ask a member of the team.

Do you offer outside catering or private hire?

Yes, we offer Private Hire across all our venues. If you’d like to find out more information, please get in touch and let us know a little more about your event. We’d love to help.

What size cakes do you offer?

We offer three standard sizes:

  • 6 inch
  • 8 inch
  • 10 inch

All cakes are three layers as standard.

What price do your cakes start from?

Our bespoke cakes are individually priced depending on the design. As a guide, prices start from:

• 6-inch cakes – from £40
• 8-inch cakes – from £50
• 10-inch cakes – from £60

Final pricing will vary depending on the design, decoration, and any bespoke elements requested.

What flavours do you offer?

Our standard flavours include:

  • Chocolate
  • Vanilla
  • Coffee & Walnut
  • Carrot
  • Victoria Sponge
  • Raspberry & White Chocolate
  • Red Velvet
  • Salted Caramel

We are also happy to discuss bespoke flavour requests.

Do you offer gluten free or vegan cakes?

Yes, we can offer both gluten free and vegan options.

Please note: all cakes are prepared in a kitchen that handles gluten, dairy, nuts and other allergens. We cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.

How many servings does each cake provide?

Serving sizes depend on how the cake is cut.

As a guide:

  • 6 inch (3 layers): approx. 10–20 servings
  • 8 inch (3 layers): approx. 15–30 servings
  • 10 inch (3 layers): approx. 20–40 servings

Can I send inspiration images?

Absolutely, we love receiving inspiration images.

They help us understand your vision and allow us to create a personalised quote for you.

Please note that as all cakes are handmade, final designs may vary slightly.

How far in advance do I need to order?

We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.

For larger or more detailed designs, we recommend booking as early as possible to secure availability.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.

The remaining balance is due on or before collection.

Can I make changes to my order?

Minor decoration changes may be possible up to 48 hours before collection.

Size and flavour changes cannot be guaranteed once your order has been confirmed.

Do you provide toppers and decorations?

You are very welcome to source your own toppers.

We are able to provide certain decorations, subject to availability and design.

Where do I collect my cake?

All cakes are collection only from our Melton store.

How long do cakes last?

Cakes are best enjoyed within 2–3 days of collection, but can be kept for up to 5 days if stored correctly.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Deposits are non-refundable.

Orders cancelled within 48 hours of collection are non-refundable in full.
